吉祥寺のOUTBOUNDにて、MOBLEY WORKS の鰤岡力也さんの額、鏡などフレームの仕事の展示が始まりました。(5月12日まで）http://outbound.to
部屋に置かれた額や鏡などが、現実の空間を切り取って、まるで異空間への入り口でもあるかのように感じられます。コクトーの映画「オルフェ」を思いうかべたりします。
しかもフレームは、アメリカから取り寄せた古材を加工したものです。納屋や工場などの壁や床などに使われていた木材には、長年の記憶が刻み込まれています。それが、今度は、フレームとして別の命を吹き込まれていくわけです。
不思議な気分になります。
『夜の木』の大判のシルクスクリーン作品も古材で額装され、展示されています。
インドのゴンド民族に伝わる木の神話的世界が、古材の手触りと一体となって、
神秘性を発揮しています。ぜひ、ご覧ください。
